12世纪萨拉丁为抵御十字军而建的军事要塞，雄踞开罗制高点，可俯瞰整座城市与远处金字塔，堡内的穆罕默德·阿里清真寺是开罗的经典地标。Built by Saladin in the 12th century to resist the Crusaders, this fortress holds Cairo's high ground with views over the city and the distant pyramids. The Muhammad Ali Mosque inside is a classic Cairo landmark.

本·埃兹拉犹太会堂是开罗历史最悠久的犹太会堂之一，相传为《圣经》中摩西被救起的芦苇丛所在，承载着埃及多元宗教共存的历史记忆。One of Cairo's oldest synagogues, said to stand where the baby Moses was found among the reeds, it carries the memory of Egypt's many coexisting faiths.

始建于公元4世纪的科普特基督教堂，因建在古罗马巴比伦城堡的城门之上而得名“悬挂”，木雕圣像与象牙镶嵌屏风精美绝伦。A Coptic church founded in the 4th century, named "hanging" because it sits above a gate of the Roman fortress of Babylon. Its carved icons and ivory-inlaid screens are exquisite.

供奉鹰神荷鲁斯，是埃及保存最完好的大型神庙之一，规模居全埃及前列；乘马车穿越小镇抵达神庙，是尼罗河之旅的标志性体验。Dedicated to the falcon god Horus, it is one of Egypt's largest and best-preserved temples. Riding a carriage through town to reach it is a signature Nile experience.

Totality lasts about 6 minutes, with the sun nearly overhead and very little cloud locally in August. This is a rare, extra-long total eclipse of the 21st century. We'll watch from the best viewing spot as day turns to night and the corona blooms.

尼罗河西岸的皇家陵墓群，60余位法老与贵族长眠于此，图坦卡蒙墓即在此被发现；墓室壁画色彩如新，被誉为法老的永生之地。A royal necropolis on the West Bank where over 60 pharaohs and nobles rest, and where Tutankhamun's tomb was found. The murals look freshly painted, in what is called the pharaohs' land of eternal life.

哈特谢普苏特女王神庙，三层阶梯式建筑依峭壁而建、气势恢宏，是古埃及屈指可数的女法老留下的伟大杰作。Built against the cliffs in three grand terraces, this is the great masterpiece of Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt's few female pharaohs.

两尊高约18米的阿蒙霍特普三世坐像静立田野千年，是卢克索西岸醒目的地标之一，古罗马时期还曾以“会唱歌的巨像”闻名。These two seated statues of Amenhotep III, about 18 metres tall, have stood in the fields for millennia. A striking West Bank landmark, in Roman times they were famous as the "singing colossi".

罗马时期的大型地下陵墓，深达三层、可容数百具棺椁，雕刻融合古埃及与罗马风格，是地中海世界罕见的考古奇观。A large Roman-era underground necropolis, three levels deep, with room for hundreds of burials. Its carvings blend Egyptian and Roman styles, a rare archaeological wonder of the Mediterranean.

亚历山大滨海大道全长约20公里，一侧是湛蓝的地中海，一侧是欧式建筑，漫步其间尽享“地中海新娘”的浪漫风情。Alexandria's seaside avenue runs about 20 km, with the blue Mediterranean on one side and European-style buildings on the other, the romance of the "Bride of the Mediterranean".
