Stroll along the canal, where stone paths and vintage oil lamps evoke days gone by. Step into Kitaichi Glass, where glasswork sparkles like stars, then take in the chimes and music boxes of Fairy Tale Crossroads, like a scene from a feel-good film. You'll also pause at Ginnokane Cafe to enjoy the quiet. In the afternoon, follow the coast to Hakodate and ride up Mt. Hakodate at dusk for one of the world's three great night views, a sea of lights around a deep blue harbour.

小樽运河Otaru Canal

The scenery changes with the seasons and is especially distinctive in winter, with oil lamps and vintage stone warehouses along the water.

北一硝子馆Kitaichi Glass

“玻璃工坊”北一硝子馆。这里除了日本本土原创的玻璃制品以外还有许多来自世界各地的玻璃制品，各个技艺精巧，古雅别致。A "glass workshop" with original Japanese pieces and glassware from around the world, all finely crafted and elegant.

小樽八音盒博物馆Otaru Music Box Museum

八音盒是小樽的名产之一，小樽八音盒博物馆不仅是北海道极具人气的纪念品商店，也是日本历史最久，规模最大八音盒博物馆。Music boxes are an Otaru specialty. This museum is a hugely popular souvenir shop and also Japan's oldest and largest music box museum.

In the afternoon, visit the Hakodate Tropical Botanical Garden to see monkeys soaking in a hot spring amid the snow, a sight sure to make you smile!

植物园始建于1970年，1971年从本州引入20只猴子建成猴山，并将园区温泉水引入猴山形成温泉池。目前猴群规模为74只，冬季泡温泉行为始于1979年，现已成为当地传统特色活动。Founded in 1970. In 1971, 20 monkeys were brought from Honshu to form a monkey mountain, with the garden's hot spring water piped in to make a pool. The troop now numbers 74, and their winter bathing, which began in 1979, has become a local tradition.

洞爷湖Lake Toya

今日前往静谧的火山湖——洞爷湖。在展望台远眺，湖心岛与连绵雪山倒映碧波之中；搭乘洞爷湖游船漫行湖上，偶遇盘旋的水鸟，感受北海道的辽阔宁静。随后探访昭和新山熊牧场，与憨态可掬的北海道棕熊打招呼，还能体验喂食乐趣。夜宿洞爷湖畔，若天气晴好，可见星空洒落湖面。Today we visit tranquil Lake Toya, a volcanic lake. From the observation deck, the central islands and snowy mountains are mirrored in the water. A cruise on the lake brings circling water birds and the vast calm of Hokkaido. Next, visit the Showa-Shinzan Bear Ranch to say hello to adorable Hokkaido brown bears and try feeding them. Stay by the lake tonight, where on a clear evening the stars seem to fall onto the water.

昭和新山Showa-Shinzan

昭和新山是一座正在长高的活火山，是北海道最震撼、也最“年轻”的火山之一。在红褐色的山脉中能见到地热白烟喷出。因此被誉为“会呼吸的大地”。An active volcano that is still growing, and one of Hokkaido's most striking and "youngest". White geothermal steam rises from its reddish-brown slopes, earning it the name "the breathing earth".

熊牧场Bear Ranch

熊牧场位于昭和新山山脚，是北海道最具代表性的动物景点之一，以近距离观赏并喂食北海道棕熊而闻名。熊会站立、挥手、张嘴“讨食”，非常可爱。At the foot of Showa-Shinzan, this is one of Hokkaido's most representative animal attractions, known for close-up viewing and feeding of brown bears. They stand, wave and open their mouths to beg for food, which is very cute.

洞爷湖 - 登别Lake Toya - Noboribetsu

It is Hokkaido's most dramatic geothermal landscape and the source of the Noboribetsu hot springs. Volcanic steam and the smell of sulphur fill the air, as if walking on "breathing earth", which earned it the name "Hell Valley".

登别温泉步行街Noboribetsu Onsen Street
